You keep your footage

You own what you film. Sending it here does not transfer ownership, and you can keep using it anywhere else, including your own channels.

What you allow

You give the channel permission to edit your clips and include them in its videos, and to keep publishing those videos afterwards. That permission has to outlast a video's release, because a published video stays online and keeps earning.

What you earn

When a video is primarily your story, you earn a percentage of that video's revenue at the rate shown on your profile. When your clips support someone else's story, a separate share is divided across all supporting clips in that video, in proportion to the seconds of each that were actually used.

Shares are calculated from the revenue the platform reports for that video, each month, for as long as it earns. Earnings accumulate in your account and are paid out once they pass the channel's minimum. During the pilot, payouts are made manually.

What you promise

That you filmed it or have the right to share it; that anyone clearly identifiable in it is content to appear; and that it contains no music or footage belonging to someone else. Background music is the most common problem. It can get the finished video blocked or demonetised, which costs you as well as the channel.

What we do with it

Your clips are stored securely and used to make videos for this channel. We also generate transcripts and descriptions to find the right clip later. We do not sell your footage or license it to third parties.

Leaving

You can ask us to delete your account and unused footage at any time. Clips already used in a published video have to stay in that video, and we keep the records of what you earned, because both are financial and legal obligations we cannot undo.
